November 2021

The writing was coming along smoothly until early October when I went on holidays. I took a break in mid-October to go travelling in Europe. Unfortunately I brought my laptop on the trip and it appears to have been damaged. Some bumpy road must have knocked a connection loose.

I save all my chapters to a cloud, but in this case I appear to have been lax. I have lost about two chapters. Hopefully this wont be too difficult to fix.

In my own personal life, my work hours are still all over the place. There is a speciality in my profession that I am trained academically in. I would love to get a role in that speciality but it’s quite difficult as the jobs are rare and very competitive. These days a lot of my spare time is searching online for the roles, doing interviews etc.

I’m not limiting my search to Ireland. I’m also looking at London for such roles. I’ve spent a lot of time in London and wouldn’t mind moving over for a while. Just to change things up.

WIth regards the progress of the book, including the lost chapters, it’s about as long as “The Blazing Sun” in terms of word-count, but only about half-way where I want this book to stop.

For anyone reading this I wish you all the best,

PMA
