I was thinking today about The Blazing Sun and the edits I’m planning to make into a new edition of the first book. I think the name of the “New Terra Empire” might need changing. I’ve never watched Star Trek before, and I’ve discovered there is a nation in the Star Trek universe with a very similar sounding name. I’m considering making a name-change to something a bit more unique.
My intention is to release a new edition of The Blazing Sun before The Eight Pointed Star comes out. However, I will only start on the new edition of The Blazing Sun after I have a first draft of The Eight-Pointed Star put together. That way I can ‘sit’ on the first draft for a little while. It’s best to have a cooling-off period before going back to edit.
My honest ETA for The Eight-Pointed Star is probably mid 2023. I have my new job to focus on. It’s what I’ve been working towards for almost 10 years now, and now that I have it, I need to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can. Basically, all my interests and hobbies are on hold for a time.
However, I did make time for Elden Ring, and I thought it was excellent.
